So, as you may be aware, I'm a bit of a player with shiny things kind of person. This means that I'm a little impatient when it comes to OS updates.
Needless to say that since Google announced jelly bean at io12 I have been chomping at the bit to get my hands on the new beast.
Well thanks to the EOS crew I now have a highly experimental custom built jelly bean ROM on my Xoom.
First things first. Jelly Bean is not a revolutionary release in the way that ICS was. Instead this an evolution of ICS, as such, what you're going to find that jelly bean is smoother, faster and generally more polished than ICS.
Apart from the improvements to the UI (it really is much smoother) the main thing seperating JB from ICS is Google Now. This application wants to be the Jervis to your Tony Stark. I really haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but shall write more when I have.
One other thing before you upgrade. No flash for jelly bean. So if you're fond of visiting flash heavy sites on your tablet, jelly bean is not for you.
