What I'm working on

This week has been a bit of a break for me, so I thought I would put down what I'm working on and where I'm up to:

Planning Alerts AU

Right now version 1.0 is on the Android Marketplace. It's very basic but it does the job. The next version will switch from the current model of limited search (via the app properties) to a new more flexible search model (which will also bring the ability to save search results/update saved searches).

OpenAustralia App

I've got the OpenAustralia iphone app close to the point where it could be considered release worthy, however I'm beginning to rethink my approach to it. In its current form it's pretty limited and to be frank I don't think the phone format allows for the best app to be developed. I'm seriously considering rebuilding it as an iPad/Samsung Tab app. This would give me the flexibility to add new features (such as including mp twitter feeds and so on).

MobileFOSS

With lca2011 only four weeks away (oh crap), I've got much on my hands in organising the MobileFOSS miniconf. We almost have a full schedule, but we're still looking for more, so please, if you're doing something cool in the mobile open source space, then we want to hear about it.

Wave In A Box

When I was in San Francisco at the Wave Conference, I wrote an incredibly basic way to manage users on the Wave In A Box project. Unfortunately since then the code has gotten a little stale due to the incredibly rapid rate of code development for WIAB (seriously, we've gone from a very basic offering, to an almost feature complete package in only a few months).

We're also waiting on the final setup of the Apache infra for WIAB so we can start migrating everything across.

Well that's what I'm working on in the Open Source space. Collaborynth has been rather silent over the last few months, however I plan on changing that in the new year.
