MobileFOSS and LCA2011

Okay it's only 2 days to go until the best little tech conference in the world starts in Brisbane(site of the recent re-enactment of the flooding of venice).

First up I'd like to extend kudos to the Organising Team who have gone beyond the call of duty considering the flooding in Brisbane. They've managed to snag an alternative venue days out from the start of the conf while at the same time ensuring that the main accomodation is still going to be served by lca internets!

Next up, MobileFOSS!

Yep, we have a full schedule for MobileFOSS this year. We're covering topics ranging from specific FOSS mobile projects (PlanningAlertsAU and MahTweets) to talks that cover frameworks to a talk thats covering a very cool real world project to change the way mobile communications work. We're covering Android and Meego in terms of FOSS Phone stacks and we even have a FOSS project from the land of windows 7. So if you have an interest in mobile tech then come along on Tuesday and mingle, question and learn :)
