Episode 18 - Dramatic Clive

This episode is a bit special as Bernie brings us his dramatic reading of a slightly dodgy transcript of Clive Palmers maiden speach to Parliament.

We also talk about the convoy of Clive, a council that wants to ban Councillors being huffy and in a move that surprises no on Scott Morrison acts like complete numpty. (Warning, contains swears)

A mixed bag of stories this episode. We cover some ground, starting with bird life in and around Chernobyl, insect sex, new advances in biological printing and finally ending up somewhere in orbit.

28th Anniversay of Chernobyl disaster shows some bird species adapting quite well to the higher levels of radiation - http://news.sciencemag.org/biology/2014/04/scienceshot-some-birds-thrive-chernobyls-radioactive-glow

We're back after a summer of frolicking and relaxing in the sun and surf. This week we have a look at the competition between the eastern states for the stupidest piece of legislation, briefly contemplate an OA for our work with Australian Cricket and ponder, will Schapelle ever be free?

Episode 20: The Right Wing Book Club

Adam Brereton joins James and Bernie to discuss his series called the Right Wing Book Club, in which he reads the books by people such as Cory Bernadi so we don't have to.

A bit longer than normal and containing a few swears, it's a good wide ranging discussion about the state of the Australian far right conservative movement.

After week off for Bernie to go watch the Vrooms at the Bathurst 12 Hour, we'll be back to find out whether Australia has found peak derp yet (ha, no such animal).

Also, we break with tradition by including our first international WTF, and by including a nice story :)

Episode 25 - The Epic Rant

When we started this episode we were going to be talking a lot more science news than we ended up doing, all we can say is that the ranting is justified.

Stories covered this episode:

- Where did Mel go

- How did Mags make a mushroom cloud in her classroom

- Science funding / Medical Research Fund

Episode 22 - Inadvertant Invasion

The only acronym to describe the events of the past week is WTF.

Asylum seekers attacked on Manus Island, Neknominate, Tony Burke tries Buzzfeed, Scott Morrison is a complete Scott Morrison and the ABC tracks down Abdul the Kebab Maker.

Note: Sorry about the audio, not sure what happened there.
